1. Strengthening RESGEST networking, management and coordination mechanisms - Consolidate and strengthen the coordination and implementation mechanisms in the Member Countries through continued technical support from the Regional Secretariat RESGEST for the National Focal Points and National Committees;
- Conduct regular annual workshops of NFPs and National Committee representatives to review progress achieved and consolidate efforts, as well as exchange experiences and wise practices, and promote overall teambuilding and networking spirit;
- Initiate advocacy and in-country consultations leading towards establishment of new National Committees in at least three countries;
- Expand RESGEST network linkages through joint activities with other professional or discipline-based networks in science, technology and engineering networks.
2. Training - Organize training workshops on topics of relevance to improving access by women, and increasing their benefit, from science and technology and related activities to boost their life skills and livelihood opportunities;
- Organize training for NFPs and National Committees to enhance their skills on GST indicators development, statistical analysis and reporting;
3. Research - Launch research projects on Gender, Science and Technology issues.
- Support selected best practices project on Gender S&T for sustainable human-centred development
4. Data collection - Update and expand the GST Data Base
5. Advocacy - Develop advocacy toolkits and resource materials for policy-makers
6. Public awareness campaign - Upgrade and maintain the RESGEST website;
- Launch a competitive Science and Technology Achievement Award for young women;
- Initiate a competitive Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award for women.
